Member-only story
twisting with emotion in this foolish game we play,
captured by the notion that someday our hearts will sync again on a page, returning and returning to our secret writing place,
we writhe around restlessly longing to stay,
unravelling for the words we eagerly anticipate,
we sink beneath the Ocean so often — shooting ourselves down in flames,
our eyes begin to close as the sunlight starts to fade,
just before the story ends,
we gleam the shadows in our eyes as we spy the phoenix rise —
hypnotised as it takes our breath away,
we replay our paradise
when we first met in the space between our first lines,
in the wilderness like wolves under a full Moon on a wild night,
now still on the prowl, we dare each other like chain smokers —
to breathe in all of the dark sky, filling our lungs just one more time,
we cling to each other as time slips by
our chemistry — crackles, re-energised,
foolish love — fans the fire with our reckless pride,
we live to dream more havoc — just one more night.
