Hmm, interesting… five weeks in on this Medium platform (which I love so far, despite some frustrations), I am reminded of something I read on their ‘mission statement’ type email when I joined. Their bottom line appears to lean towards the readers experience, not the writers/creatives. Not that they don’t care about the contributors here and in fairness to them, I think that is at the heart of why they rolled out the Partner Program (to attempt to redress the balance somewhat). I agree that gaining visibility and being read is tough, but I believe it’s tougher elsewhere like on Twitter. I check people’s profiles/page to try and keep up with their posts rather than rely on what shows up in my feed, and I also find people to follow via the responses. If more people did that, it would assist greatly I think. *shrugs shoulders*
