Member-only story
seems I can only love you in waves
lest we both drown again and again
you’re like lightning in a bottle intoxicating me — igniting my veins
spilling your message into my Ocean in waves
in June, we fly high beneath a low hanging Moon
common sense evades us, we get it on and lose our minds
we just can’t stop the stupid fights
this water — this life, drains from our bodies in the heat of those nights
we’re covered in spite, yet we won’t really say goodbye
we’re twisted and our souls are tied
I return to being the dream you sleep on
just until our next season
when we’ll meet at the peak of another sunrise
and I will no doubt — love you again and again in waves
