It’s just so painfully predictable, that the tone of the reporting of this incident in large amounts — leans into perpetuating the BS propaganda of ‘respectability politics’. Respectability politics 101: ‘Pull your pants up’ ‘take off the hoody’ ‘stop sounding so Black’ and racism will swerve you. Really?? I guess that explains why MLK was assassinated in a shirt and tie and why Trayvon Martin was murdered in his hoody. It’s so far beyond nonsensical to highlight every other thing but the actual issue — racism. Denial — is the default setting as always. *sigh*
