Ocean Eyes

A poem

From the beginning, it was a tale of woe.
We’ve been swimming and drowning in waves inside each other’s ocean eyes.
These moments of living and dying beneath the stars and in between arms—will create memories that we’ll relive and replay
in the coming lonely nights and lonely days.
Over and over; again and again;
until the end of time,
though we know it’s futile,
we will rise and fall calling out for one another in open mutiny—
among the shipwreck of us.
