Member-only story
I gather your pieces,
I keep them with my own amongst the open hearts of others
in this Sea of souls,
until before too long or a hundred thousand moments from here — whichever comes later.
According to ‘they’ — it’s already late in the day,
but our spirits remain precisely on time as we go on and on trading stories paying homage in kind.
We watch from a distance — the illusion of the Sun going down beneath the Ocean and coming up again,
until I stretch upwards through my fingertips and our hands entwine,
until low waists connect with enlightened eyes,
until we rise on crests of waves tsunami high
and forest trees shake their leaves free to flutter down from the sky,
until life becomes a real dream and we’re wide awake
and full of sunbeams and moonlight,
until we see ourselves and all recognise,
we are pieces of dreams that are evergreen — forever growing fully whole,
it takes more than one star to light up the night,
everything is everything beyond both you and I,
look how we walk with villages unseen to the naked eye,
behind us and to our left and right sides,
we know — nobody truly makes it on their own in this life,
when we hold each other up — we keep our souls satisfied.
