Revolution/Solution

Poetry

I live for every breath to rain down revolution on me
it’s the only resolution to satisfy the hunger in me
relieve my soul of the strain
break the chains of routine and conformity

I deconstruct to reconstruct
this is no self sabotage
this is redemption
self preservation of my salt infused skin
every woman and every man must cry
the excess of salt water tears will detoxify
all hearts will unbreak with every deep sigh

I place no value on man’s construct of time
I follow the Sun
flow like the Ocean
let gravity hold me and lay me to sleep beside the Moon
aligned
liberated and unified

let women rage
let men cry
let the necessary discomfort occur
we are here to shake up the world
awaken the wild
not a day too soon
climbing out of valleys and over hill after hill
as detractors attempt to cajole me
into knocking on doors they have already sealed
I will knock down those houses that you and Jack built
