how much light can you hold?

when you’re speaking, from deep inside your inner space, do you notice the billions and billions of tiny stars that dance in unison across your tongue

when you align, do you feel your vibe transcend any distance

a light-year away, your energy crackles across the sky like lightening — above the roof of the little house on the hill, home to another curious kid — whose sixth sense tingles every time you say something true

If I die in your arms, I would have lived a lifetime during just one embrace

standing in your power, I am weak at the knees, in awe with every breath of light you breathe, like soft water, you wash away steel barriers whilst holding my hand

as the night blooms, you burst into stars, I try to count the all of you, but like counting every grain of sand — it’s impossible to do, so I fall asleep to the lullaby of you

when dawn approaches, just before we open our eyes, we’re already drenched in sunlight

every time you wake up and look my way, your gaze feels like the sun — so I ask you one more time

‘how much light can you hold?’
