These ‘confessions’ are seemingly made, to show how grateful Black people should be that we are allowed to live at all in this so called ‘white world’. Grateful that we haven’t been killed today by some random white person — who sees us as less than human and disposable. This is how white supremacy attempts to rationalise itself and simultaneously — paint Black people’s ‘irrational’ anger at crap like this — as the actual problem.
